Clip to ScrapBook
With three years of experience you're in a position to answer questions about school and classroom routines, the calendar, discipline policies, core curriculum, library, music and other extra programs. The stuff the newbys need to know about actual teaching they may have to turn elsewhere for.

I've never been in your shoes, but it sounds like you've got a good head on your shoulders and you'll do fine. You can encourage your principal to hire older, more experienced teachers and you can begin making a list of experienced teachers you can go to with questions. They don't have to be in your school.

Mostly, I loved the phrase "Super Veteran Teacher" I think I'll have that made into a bumper sticker and sell it! Want a cut????
