school supplies
By V

Clip to ScrapBook
From a slightly different perspective. I teach in a private school where the parents must provide just about everything and our school sends them a list during the summer of the basic needs. Then as a teacher, I get to request
additional items I would like each student to have specifically for our class. I also encourage the parents at back to school night and in my welcome letter to stock up now because the glue, pencils, crayons, etc. are a lot more expensive later on in the year. I agree though that you can spend and send too much with kids that they will not use. As a parent I stock up to save money
and to save myself a trip to the store when one of my kids informs me they are out of whatever it is they are out of. As for unused items, I'm sure they can be used the following year or donated to school with fewer resources.
