I had something happen that was similar last year my firt year of teaching. I had a parent who was a painter and volunteered to paint my room any way I wished. I was excited beyond belief, however he wasn't able to start until the week before school started because he was painting for others and getting paid. I was very grateful and he did an amazing job, but he wasn't finished until the Thursday before school started. I worked until 1am on Thursday and Friday and until 12pm on Saturday to get ready. It was a lot of pressure but how can you be upset when someone volunteers to paint your room for free. Don't worry it will all get done and you will be ready when the kidos get there. Jessica/3/MO
