    I teach in a year round school. I am on for 9 weeks and off for three. I get two five week breaks during the year because of when the traditional breaks are scheduled (May/June and November/December). I LOVE it!

    However, my district is facing a bond election and if it passes, all schools will be phased into traditional because of parent surveys that were done. I am heartbroken! While I hate moving classrooms every nine weeks, I think that the kids are so much better off. They retain more, are not burnt out, and are excited for learning (and so am I! ;o) ).

    I will be really upset if we go traditional, but oh well. I love my district too much to leave.
