    While the advice given to you about paying off loans and reducing debt are very wise, remember your TSA will be taken out before taxes. Also, I don't know how old you are, but if you still have a lot of years left, that $40 will really grow. Since it is taken out before you get your check, you won't realize you don't have it and can't spend it.

    I started putting $50 a pay in before I was 30. I have increased it whenever I got a raise. It is amazing how that money starts to grow. I know it would hav been nice to have a few more things when I was younger or a better car, but now that I am in my late 40s I am thankful I put the money away.
