If all you want them for is pencil boxes, you can make easy ones from pillowcases. That would be cheaper than ordering from Really Good Stuff and they would probably hold up better. My mom made some for me - I purchased really heavyweight canvas material. I've also heard of using those stretchy material bookcovers and that would hold just a few lightweight items.
