principals not doing their jobs
By Anne

Clip to ScrapBook
Very few principals are doing their jobs correctly. I hear the same complaints as those voiced in the above messages from teachers everywhere. It is easier for prins to back the parent than to deal honestly and fairly
with everyone. They are lazy and without moral fiber. If we all started to analyze our biggest, most frequent complaints, we would find that they fall most often into the category of "principal keeping parents happy."
If principals started doing their jobs and could count on district offices to back them up, teachers would find their jobs about 75% easier, and the quality of education
would go up. Why is it that a simple study of how discipline problems are handled by principals isn't done? When will real standards for behavior exist? Don't you think it is interesting that we never hear anything in the news about what role the behavior of children, their parents and principals plays in the quality of education in this country?
