Workbooks vs. Own Sheets
By Carol

Clip to ScrapBook
Carolyn.

Personally, I would prefer to use my own sheets although that is a lot more work. I know exactly what I want to reinforce, what is needed and what my expectations are. Some of the pages lose something in the
translation. OTOH, i admit to having several workbooks from other series than we use, and copying good ideas from them.

I have always said that a good teacher does not have to be creative. She has to know a good idea when she sees one and use it.

There are so many exciting and informative ideas on the Net, in books and from other teachers, that I could not accomplish half of what

I want to, using these. Some can be for next year. I like to change how I teach and some of the assignments.

I know that there are many teachers who basically follow what they did the previous year because it worked. I get bored and different children have different needs.

You sound like you have your act straight and I welcome any ideas that you use to make your classroom a better place.
