5th grade state tests

This year I will be teaching 5th also but we only give the Social Studies exam which hopefully the class was prepared for in 4th grade, since it is given in November. I would hate to lose a lot of time at the beginning of the year preparing for this but I cannot see any other way to accomplish what is needed. Since this test is optional, I am hoping that we choose not to give it.
