From Law to the Primary Grades
By Amanda K

Clip to ScrapBook
Tracey, I really appreciated your story. I left USC law school very early on because I realized that I was on the fast track to an early heart attack. I had worked in the classroom before and decided to go into teaching. I am now teaching first grade and love everything about my new career. Teachers always ask me why I left the promise of such a high salary. You are right, though - money isn't everything. I never complain about salary because my happiness more than makes up for the decrease in income.

Kudos to you for making the jump! It was easy for me, only a week into law school. I don't know if I could have done it had I already been with a firm.
