Our art teacher has a way to raise money.
By Glenda

Clip to ScrapBook
I can't imagine trying to teach art to 500 students on such a small budget. I'm not sure if this will work for you, but this is what our art teacher has done for the last few years.

The children make a paper wallet in which they place small paper money they they have decorated. The art teacher places a letter inside the wallet and the classroom teachers try to help by mentioning the wallets in their newsletters.

The children take the wallets home and the parents take out the paper money and replace it with real money. Any amount is appreciated. I'm not sure how much she gets but I know she has done this for the last 3 or 4 years.

Hope this helps a little. Remember, where there is a will there is a way.
Good luck
Glenda
