Hi Maxie! Ok here is my opinion. I have been teaching for seven years now. I'm going to pick apart your post for a moment, because I think you will have answered your question yourself. You said, "I cannot stress enough
how bad off this school is" and "I was miserable at my school up until... I'd say early March." Next year is a new year at your current school, chances are things could be the same way until March again or they might be better. That was also your first year of teaching, which can be very tough. Can you see yourself staying in this position for the next ten years? Or would this
other school be a better opportunity for you? If it were me, it would depend on a lot of things; how far is your commute? Do you get along well with your current teachers? Is your principal supportive of you? Do you feel appreciated at the school you are working? If I am an excellent teacher, than I will make differences where-ever I go. Try making a pro's and con's list, it sounds silly but if one is longer than the other? I hope some of this information helps you in your decision. Good Luck, and post to us of your decision!!
