Bell rings at 2:45. Buses are usually called in waves (K first, then 1/3, then 2/4/5). The teacher walks the kids to the bus, calls out the number and the kids get on. Sometimes we hold the kids while waiting for all the buses to arrive (I hate that).
DH thinks this is pathetic. I somewhat agree. When we were in school your bus number was called when the bus arrived and you walked to it by yourself.
