Clip to ScrapBook
I must be missing something because I honestly don't see a tone of negativity in Jennifer's original post. I also don't think she is showing animosity towards teachers. She is direct when she says she can't thank her elementary
and secondary teachers because she didn't have any, she was home schooled. Jennifer, I respect your decision to leave the profession. If your heart is not in it, if you aren't excited to go to work every day, if you aren't finding joy in those teachable moments, then you are right, teaching was not meant for you. It doesn't make you any different than the rest of the people in the
world who search for jobs and change careers until they find satisfaction. If you are happy in your new job, then congratulations and may success be in your future. If you are not, then keep searching--the right career path will find you! Good luck to you and all people who decide to embark on new careers. Teaching is not for everyone, and it is important for all of us to realize that. Let's stop trying to read into Jennifer's original post, and I'm sorry if this offends any one, but PLEASE let's refrain from this "Tag, you're it" concept. Aren't we above such nonsense??????
