going back to school with a family

Sue,

You have been given some very good advice. I started on my masters when my youngest was under 1 year. You will find it very helpful if you have someone to help you with the chldren. My husband was a dream. My daughter
who is now 18 (she was 4 when I started my masters) asked my husband one night after I had registered for another semester of classes, "Well Dad, what night is chicken nugget night?"

It is not impossible to go back when you have a family. The more support you have from your family, having a friend taking classes with you, and starting off slow are the best advice I can think of.

Oh,

and one more thing. Towards the end I took 2 classes in the fall, then 2 classes in the spring, 1 class during intersession, and 1 class the first semester in the summer. DON'T !!!! I was exhasted and totally burned out. If I had not been within 6 hours of my masters, I would have quit. Pace yourself.

Good luck
Glenda
