balancing act!
By Candace

Clip to ScrapBook
Teaching is definitely a balancing act. I think most of us feel that there is always more we could do. One thing I think is important to realize is that recharging our own batteries make us better teachers. Also, caring
so much for our students to the detriment of our own families doesn't really make sense for our long term happiness. Whenever I am contemplating a new idea of classroom management idea, I always try to think of how much extra work it will make for me and whether or not the instructional outcome will change if I do something that is less work for me. I am always looking for the ideas
with the most instructional value with the simplest management needs. I think, "Will this help me or hurt me?" because in the end, if I am crazy, my students suffer!
