balancing act!

Teaching is definitely a balancing act. I think most of us feel that there is always more we could do. One thing I think is important to realize is that recharging our own batteries make us better teachers. Also, caring| so much for our students to the detriment of our own families doesn't really make sense for our long term happiness. Whenever I am contemplating a new idea of classroom management idea, I always try to think of how much extra work it will make for me and whether or not the instructional outcome will change if I do something that is less work for me. I am always looking for the ideas | |
with the most instructional value with the simplest management needs. I think, "Will this help me or hurt me?" because in the end, if I am crazy, my students suffer!
