Do an activity with the grandparent's hand and the child's hand. "Me and Gran-hand and hand" could be your title. Have students and granparents trace their hand. Then, glue down the grandparents' hand and put the child's hand on top. Type out the title and have them glue it to a piece of construction paper.
You could take a picture of the child and their grandparents for a later activity. I love my grandparents to pieces could be your title. Then, glue puzzle pieces all around the pic.
You could also read, Hooray for Grandparents' day for those students you might not have anyone visit them on this special day.
