I agree with the "tag, you are it"

What a great suggestion! You know, I face so much negativity from some of the teachers in my school complaining endlessly about things. It's definitely contagious and I often leave school feeling negative and grouchy.
I love the people with whom I work, however, the climate within my school is just in the pits! Anyway, this board is wonderful because I can VENT (not necessarily complain) and I get objective, intelligent advice. People like Cathy Dee are wonderful. I teach in a school with mostly first and second yeaer teachers (everyone leaves as soon as they can) and I have no "senior members" to
which I can turn. Cathy Dee (and others) has obviously been teaching a lot and has "been there" on a lot of issues. Sometimes I wish I could contact and actually meet these people who truly help me out, but I know when I really think about it that things are better left "anonymous" on this board and as they are. Anyway, I think that people who come to this board and say negative things about someone else and then claim it is a "friendly suggestion" need to "get a life" themselves. It's SCARY to think about how these people talk to their students. Do they say things like, "Hey, you stink at reading, but it's just a friendly suggestion that you work on it over the summer"? Cathy Dee, please DO NOT be offended by that person who wrote that ridiculous comment. As I have said in other posts, this is probably a case of one of these insecure teachers who attack others who do something great because they are jealous and afraid that it is making them look bad! Have a wondeful weekend and THANK YOU for all of your "wisdom" and advice this year!
