While I understand Cathy-Dee and Carolyn's points, I think that the purpose of this board is to VENT, and if someone's feelings are hurt, then so be it. As long as we are not using profanity, I feel that teachers need this
place to just get everything off of their chest without having to worry about gossip and professional consequences. It would be nice to tell people what we think of them, but half of the time it is unprofessional or inappropriate. I am not sure who "ohgetreal" is, because I missed that post, but it sounds like (from the other posts) she is a home-school parent who is fed up with the

system. If this is the case, then I would say to her that there are things that many parents just don't understand about teaching until they are in front of 25 of their own students. If I am wrong, well, I still feel like this is a VENT board and we should "speak" our minds!
