messy desk
By heather

Clip to ScrapBook
When school starts in August, my room looks so wonderful. It only takes a week for me to lose everything and wonder what direction I am going in. My fellow teachers get a kick out of my being so "messy". Honestly, I don't
believe I would be able to teach the way I do if my room and desk were neat. I love it this way. Of course, I would like for everything to be labeled and in ABC order, but that will never happen for me. It is so good to hear from the rest of you who are also "messy."

Just thought I'd let you know what my principal said about it all: I must be a very effective and active teacher

since I don't have time to clean off my desk. That made me feel pretty good. Hope it makes some of you feel better, too.

Anyway, it still makes it hard for me to keep my kids organized when I am so unorganized. It is funny though because I can't get through a single day without my "to do list." Oh well.

Hope everyone is having a good summer. Thanks for all the wonderful advice!!!!
