binders/worksheets

Clip to ScrapBook
When I first started to sub I began collecting w/s that I thought would be useful when I had my own classroom. That was about six years ago. Last summer after completing my first year of teaching I went through all of the
w/s and papers that I had stored in boxes. I sorted them into nice neat piles according to topic and grade level. Then I hole punched them and placed them into binders so they would fit neatly on a book shelf in my classroom. This took several weeks as I ended up having 25-30 binders FULL of material.

This year I pulled material from those binders at least twice--maybe three times. They

just sit there collecting dust. It just took about 30 minutes to pull the binders off of the shelf and put them into boxes--I decided that I could use the shelf space for something else.

The moral of my story is just be careful that you don't collect more stuff than you really need!!

Have a great summer!!
