Good point, but the difference between your rationale and the comment made by ohgetreal is that he/she distrusts personnel with his/her children. You are inviting the siblings and parents to meet and join you at public place
with the understanding that they take all responsibility for their children. The difference here lies within the fact that you trust your parents and your parents trust you! It also lies within the fact that you are inviting the parents and siblings, they are not demanding to go. I don't mind having these families meet me at a field trip, but I cannot take responsibility or liability
for them on the bus, for admission, for "head counts" etc. I enjoy their company because they trust me with their child. As "ohgetreal" implies, I DEFINITELY don't want any parent/child on a field trip with me because they don't trust me and are only coming to watch over my shoulder.
