I worked with adults with disabilities for 10 years and found it to be very rewarding. I worked for a private, not-for-profit, facility. I obtained my master's degree in special ed and returned to teaching as a personal goal. I've found both areas to be different, but equally rewarding. There are numerous jobs and facilities involved in working with adults with disabilities. You could start by inquiring at your local courthouse, as county, state and federal fundings are involved.
