I agree with G. C. Don't lose your cool over those kids. It's that time of year when kids will test your patience. It seems that when the temperature rises, so does the misbehavior. My kids have shut down, too, and it
has been a real trial keeping them on track.
We are giving the state tests this week in SC, the PACT. We still have 15 days left of school. I know for sure that I am going to make sure that the class is just as structured as it always was. I am going to try my best to give the children LOTS of graded work and no unstructured activities which I know they couldn't handle any other

time of the year. My class runs wild very easily. I am trying my best to avoid that situation. Thankfully, my principal is standing right beside me. He has suspended a couple of kids for next week after tests are over. One boy in my class touched a girl on her backside while we were waiting in line.
