The season is over!

Thanks for all the posts. The season eneded last week and my husbands team finished in second place. At the end of each year they have a little party and my husband gives out awards.( Most improved, best defense, best offense)
These are based on statistics. After the awards were given out and all was done, a parent called my husband at home and said he should not coach next year. His son is in 8th grade and the other players are in 9th and 10th. His son did not get an award. The parent thought that several other players should have gotten the honors. The parent also said my husband should learn more about

the sport. (My husband has coached for 6 years and played 10 years before that) This crushed my husband. He loves the game and would be lost if he did not coach. The parent also said that he would send his son to another school to play if he continued to coach. I will not let this parent ruin my husbands coaching career.What kind of message does this send the players when a parent bullies the coach? If my husband does quit, the parent feels powerful and the next coach will be fair game. ( I feel better)
