use vocabulary words

I have them put them in abc order, use them in sentences. I do word searches (I make these up - I made one and then go from there) with the vocabulary words. Sometimes with the left over letters I have a secret message. We search books and newspapers to find the vocabulary words. I mix up the letters and they have to fix the word. I leave out letters and they have to finish the word. They make up stories using the words. I have spelling bees with the class using the vocabulary words or make up games. I make up 3 x 5 cards and have them play the match game.
