I like it a lot. You have a good balance of things that 6th graders will like. It's professional looking and appealing. I taught 6th grade and found that students and parents used my site a lot. I will post again later with some of the things I put on my site that they found helpful. And good for you for going ahead on your own site! I think a lot of PT posters have individual sites.
One concern: (I'm not trying to insult you, but you mention that school hasn't started so...) do you have a release form to put the students' pictures on the Internet? If not, you need to take them off until you get one. Parents can sue you over this even when names are not given. If your school doesn't have a media release form on file, find out about getting one. I don't have a copy of ours, but someone else might.
