You are right. Seeing something on the TV is only one facet of the problem. Turning off or seriously reducing viewing time would probably be a good idea for many children. Children all too often learn what they live and if they see their primary caretakers setting a bad example then they will too. I commend you for expecting better from the students you teach. I imagine it isn't always easy but the rewards can be immense. We can always use more concerned educators like yourself. I appreciated hearing your thoughts on this. Oh...and yes I would definately be up for a National Respect Campaign!
