At least you HAVE an apprecitaion dinner..some of us get nothing.
Thank you spouses for your kind words!!!
My husband also retired from the public schools, however he was in maintenance and was in and out of seventeen different schools every week, all levels. He tells me daily that my job is important and he seems to understand the stress, but I am beginning to think about staying home with him though because I am tired of fighting the battle with parents who will not take responsibility for their children and administrators who have forgotten what it is like in the classroom.
