    I think it would work but you have to lower the amount of points to earn the reward if your playing the scoreboard game correctly. The +/- 3 rule applies here. There shouldn't be more or less than 3 as a difference. If you have 15 smiley's you shouldn't have less than 12 frownies. Even if they are doing great, you want to keep them hungry and fighting to get more. If they get 3 more smiles each day for 5 days that would be 15 points.

    You have to decide how often you want or maybe they need that reward, then you make it happen by manipulating the scoreboard. If you want the reward to take place on Friday, say the sci/exp will cost 5 points. The first day they lose(they are suppose to lose the first day). The second day they get closer, but still lose. The third day they barely win(since you want them to do the exp. on Friday though, you let them win by 2. Friday they win by 3 and you have the exp. that afternoon. As you can see 5 points might even be too much depending on when you want them to be rewarded. I hope this is making sense, if not please ask more questions.
