    I draw a star on the white board, and sing the clean up song. Then I watch for the appropriate behavior and write the names of those children in the star.

    I used to give stickers or treasures to all of the kids who got their names in the star, but I stopped that a couple of years ago. They just want their names in there - no other rewards necessary!

    You can tell the class that you hope they will ALL get their names in the star by the end of the day. And perhaps reward them with an extra story or song or game.
