Film Canister Rockets
By Kelly

Clip to ScrapBook
Kim,
Here is a neat science activity that my students have always loved doing. You make film canister rockets. Ask a place like Wal-Mart to save film canisters for you. Have each student decorate his or her rocket (canister) with stickers or paper and glue. Next, students fill their rockets (canisters) 3/4 full with water. Then they drop in an antacid tablet (like Tums) and then quickly put the cap on, give it a few good shakes, then turn it upside down and wait for it to shoot off. My students really love doing this!I hope whatever you do goes great!! :-)
