teaching french lessons
By Christine

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi there Andrea!

How are you enjoying your grade 5'? I have a few suggestions for you, which I have picked up on. I am in my last year of Education in Manitoba. I would suggest having a french game as a back up plan.
Sometimes, french class doesn't always go as planned. You could play 'Simon dit' (Simon Says). You could say 'fait ce ci' go here, and fait ce la, for go there. Kids love it. YOu could also play french Bingo. Your teacher may have it, or you could make up little game cards, with french words on it. For example, you could study a unit on La Famille. Make words such as maman, papa,
souer, ma frere, etc. You could give treats for the prize. I have also seen teacher do monthly french calenders with the kids. They have to fill in their calender, on the first day of the month. You can give them a sticker when they have completed it.

Good luck!
