I did the same thing. Last year was the first time I used power point. I used the Smartboard. I had slides with bullet points of the information I was saying. I also included pictures of the kids at work. For a parent whose learning style is visual, I thought it would make more sense than just my speaking. The parents seemed to like it. I am planning on using it again, with new pictures and changes to reflect my new reading program.

By the way, I used the touch feature on the Smartboard rather than timing the slides so that I could spend more time on anything I needed. We do 2 brief presentations, with some people who stay for both.
