I used frogs last year!

I was trying to remember what I used...(as if it was a long time ago!).
I used a colored card system for behavior and above it was "Toad-ally Terrific Tadpoles". I also had a double-sided frog standing on back two legs| with arms in air and above it I put "Don't Be a Bully-frog". I also did a spelling game with them that involved putting a blue shower curtain on the blackboard with magnets and on this shower curtain I had lily pads attached with velcro.(This way I could change it up throughout the game and they couldn't just memorize the location). an index card and sometimes I would leave off the first and last letter of the spelling word on the index card. I taped these to lily pads and we made a game using two teams. The first person in the line had to turn backwards from the board, I said what the word was and they would turn and using "frog" fly swatters I got at Dollar General the first one to find the word and swat it gave their team a point. We also did a form of "Homeworkopoly" which I used as a reward for bringing back work and getting planner signed. I found a site that had created some really cute blocks (i.e. Rib-bit Crib; Hoppy Lobby, etc.)Kids got a ticket each day if they did the above mentioned. On Friday those with X number of tickets got to roll the dice and move their frogs around the game board I put on a small bulletin board. Sometimes they landed on getting a free pencil, or a prize from the prize box or sometimes they ended up at the Science Lab--Yeeek! They seemed to love it. Sorry this is soooooooo long !!!!!!
