Clip to ScrapBook
At my university, these are a required part of the teacher education program. We have a very detailed way in which we put ours together. The university developed a Framework for Education that has 4 domains: Planning, Preparation and Assessment, Classroom Environment, Instruction and finally, Professionalism. We have to find artifacts for each of these domains and their sub-categories. Of course they recommend that we put in our resume, certificate, awards, etc. I do not think that most employers require such detail, but it could help. We have to write reflective statements about each artifact and explain why we are putting it in our portfolio. I am sure that is much more than you were asking...but I thought I'd let you know what some programs require.
