Here are some ideas that may be budget-friendly. -If you have a computer program like Print Shop, Print Artist, Print Master, etc...there are TONS of clip art there for you to use to help make graphics for your
-You can do sorting/classifying by using clip art or by cutting pics out of magazines (sort anything...things you wear, food, colors, shapes, numbers, etc...) -You can do handwriting by writing words, laminating the folder and then students write over it with crayon or a dry erase marker that can be wiped off. -put things in order (numbers, months of the year, days of the week, alphabet, alphabetize words, etc) Just laminate the folder, use Velcro (the greatest invention!) and laminate the cards with the things you want put in order on it...then the kids can just attach the cards to the folder with velcro. -if you are doing any math, addition/subtraction, write the problems on the foler and then the answers on the cards and they can match the answer to the problem (again you can use velcro on any of these or just lay them on. For loose pieces, you can tape and laminate a manilla envelope that has a clasp on it to the back of the folder so all the loose pieces are stored in there. Or you can staple a ziploc baggie to the back of the folder and put pieces in there. There are TONS of cheap and fun things to make out of file folder games. If you want more ideas on anything specific, email me...I'd be happy to try to think of more!
