Definitely do the st. teaching
By Jennie

Clip to ScrapBook
I am from KY and I am in the pre student teaching block classes. The state has changed it's requirements so that we have more time in the classroom even before we reach student teaching. I know that next semester will be
easier because of the 2 semesters of block that we have received. We have been instructed each block semester to focus on two subjects. This semesters focus is science and math, last semester was S.S and reading. We actually have to be in the classroom to teach 2 half days per week =1full day per week. We have to do IRI's, teach lessons, make science sacks, s.s. kits, and this is just
some of the things in lieu of classroom work ie. tests over theory. I think, and I may be wrong, but I think from the sounds of the comments that this may be a lot of work but it will definitely get us ready for Stu. teaching and our year of internship afterwards. I don't think that I would opt to skip Stu. teaching.
