Just something to think about

At the school I attend, you have to do a pre-internship internship (prestudent teaching to student teaching. It's called TOSS where you learn how to teach in your specific concentration) Can't exactly get by it. Anyway, bc of the great need for teachers, the state instituted a program where they were helping people who already had degrees get into the classroom quickly w/o the student teaching experience or alot of the theory courses. The first person to complete the program ended up quitting after her first week. Perhaps she wasn't prep'd enough. I don't know. This probably could have happened even if she did the student teaching. But, the whole thing is still soemthing to think about and consider.
