Kindergarten is a unique grade. You will definitely get experience with classroom management. No matter what grade you teach - there are different facets of classroom management involved. This will be a good experience to see how one deals with the younger students for you to compare to older students if you teach them one day. One of the main differences is that kindergarten does not have a structured curriculum based on subject areas. Instead most of the teaching is tends to be themed based and you are working on a lot of the basic readiness skills. Although I enjoyed the year I worked in Kindergarten - I have preferred teaching grade 1 upwards as I like working with a curriculum and the different subject areas.
