Great Idea!

I completed my student teaching last year and think this is an absolutely wonderful idea! I would have loved getting a packet of information in advance so that I didn't feel so quite for apprehensive in the beginning. Why not include an inspiring poem about the importance of being a teacher, a checklist roster of all students, a list of websites you've found useful, a short list of other teachers/gradelevels who may want to share information, a list of important school phone numbers, a copy of the school grading scale, a school (teacher) lunch menu, and a copy of the school calendar. I am sure there are MANY more things that would be helpful, but any of them would be appreciated by your student teacher.
