I too was in the same situation. I will finish my ECE next year. It will take me two years total but it is really going to be worth it. If the school you choose is anything like mine, the time you have spent substituting will be a huge assest. We have had to develop many units and lessons and then impliment them. Having the conections and exposure to ideas and stratagies will be a blessing.

I won't lie to you and tell you it hasn't been hard, it has. I have missed some time with my son but if you are careful about scheduling classes you can be available for the kids. My son has really had the benefit of being a guinny (sp) pig for many many activities. He loves it and the time is great.
