Hi Sara,

I understand. At my college. we get 3 semesters of field work. I am just the opposite of you,
I like the upper grades and one semester was placed in 2nd grade. I actually got hives on the first day. Because my cooperating teacher was so great, I did fine. Just like you will. At first, shifting your thinking to the different grade is difficult, but once that is done, everything else will fall into place.
And believe me, those 5th/6th graders are just big babies. They love all the same stuff as the little ones!
You'll do fine!
Plus, this site has a wonderful board for 5th grade teachers! It helped me a lot!
