I just graduated in January, having finished an Aug to Oct student teaching placement in 2nd grade and an Oct to Dec placement in pre-primary. The teachers & students could not have been more different, on opposite ends of
the spectrum. I loved the second grade,couldn't wait to get out of the pre-primary (there were personality conflicts involved).
I have kept in touch with "my" 2nd graders, writing letters, stopping by to say farewell when I finished my other placement,and I sent them a picture of me in my graduation gown. They sent me back letters and a gift!!! I am currently working as

an aide in a second grade elsewhere & my teacher here has suggested we set up the two groups as pen pals for the rest of the school year. The kids from my "first classroom" will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart, as will their teacher. I learned so much from her (even though I am literally old enough to be mother!!!) Keep those pictures, keep those memories. They will always be precious!
