fill an estimation jar By MrsJ
|
| I just worked on revising our 1st gr. math curriculum, and to pull in estimation we're going to have a student each week bring home a jar (plastic, of course!) and fill it with something for the class to estimate (they need to put the answer under the lid in case there's not enough class time to count.) Maybe your student of the week can fill it with something from home that relates to him/her? Favorite cereal, matchbox cars, rubberbands if they're flexible, etc. Just an idea!
Oh, I just saw that kbbteacher already gave you this idea- great minds!!!!
