substitute teacher = housewife...

That happened to me too! I have a BA, 3/4 of a MA and I sub, therefore I am a "housewife". You should have seen the look on the woman's face when I explained to her that I am married to a man, not a house and that the state law frowned on mixed marriages of that type. (we are a mixed race couple) The poor woman stammered something about not having a code for "substitute teaching", I told her to use the code for teacher as neither position is that well paid.
