uptight subs in special ed rooms

If you're going to sub in a special ed room then you really need to be a
go with the flow sort of person and not get so uptight about how the kids react to you.
True to a point. But a teacher across the hall tells you or your students that they are too loud. Plus an administrator feels you need to be in "control". I fear some education majors fear a sped room because they might get a bad reputation from other teachers and the principal when you get some hyperactive children that misbehave. Sometimes as the old saying goes, you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. Also many middle and high schools do NOT have assistants! And as many as 12 in a room!
