*upcoming events *Conversation Starters (this is their favorite)--questions for parents to ask students to engage them about what they did the previous week--to avoid--what did you do? i dunno/nothing... *articles about items of interest (reading programs at different bookstores/libraries/local sports teams *testing tips etc i have never done an email mailing list, but i WILL next year. i had a few students this year that i was in contact with parents via email, and i realized how super easy it is! (duh, i knew that, but...to send a quick note like hey, your kid has been missing library book for 7 weeks, can you help her find it. or did you know progress reports went out last week, your kid's hasn't been returned. or your kid helped someone in spelling today--hurray!)
