Hello my name is Lori and I too am a new sub and have the jitters big time! Carolyn your e-mail helped me to relax and just do the best I can! I havn't worked yet but I am scheduled for a 2nd grade and Kindergarten class
in Oct. Is there any additional advice you can give me on how to prepare for my first experiences subbing-- like what I should take with me- how early I should get there to plan for the day! Do we use the text books or do most teachers have handouts? With the younger grades-- I know there is a lot of singing... Will the teacher have the songs available for me to learn? I know this is a lot
of questions but if anyone could help me out that would be great!! If not I'll put my best foot forward and do the best I can! Thanks for the info. Carolyn and good luck to all the new subs out there!!!!!!! Lori
