Just a few things...

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! It's very thoughtful of you to be concerned with what a sub might find helpful in your room. I wish all teachers were like this. In my experience, busy work is always nice. It doesn't have to last all day, but when
I walk into a room and see lesson plans that say "Allow all classes to read silently" I know I'm in for it. Also, I have had a few teachers who took a picture with a digital camera, printed it out, and used this as their seating chart. That is extremely helpful since most students decide the second they walk in to sit in the incorrect seat. It's also nice to be able to match the face
with the name so that you can call them down wherever they may be. The biggest and most important thing to me is to make sure that the kids understand that complaints from a substitute will be followed up with consequences. If the kids know that the teacher takes the sub's comments seriously the kids will too.
